Basics Wishlist.

Hello!

OMG CHRISTMAS IS SO SOON.

Okay, that's out of the way.. Needed to get that off my chest.
So, basically I am a shopping fiend (just incase anyone is new here and didn't know that)... But I'm obsessed with it. I'm not particularly skinny, but I do love clothes. And regardless of what people think, I think I dress myself 'quite' well for my shape.

I'm going to do 2 wishlists of things that I would like - a basics and a 'going out'/glitzy as it is the season afterall.

Let's go.

1. Animal Print Top - £25.99. 2. Nike Cuffed Beanie - £25.00 £17.50. 3. FOMO T-Shirt - £12.99.
6. Mix Knit Ankle Socks - £4.00. 7. Bibi Knitted Cardigan - £40.00 £18.00.

What do you think of these basics?
I'm ALL about a monochrome wardrobe at the minute.
I want all of my clothes to be black/white/grey at the minute.
WARDROBE GOALS.

Stay tuned for my Glitzy/Glamour wishlist.

The Wanderlust Tag

Hey ladies and gents (if there's gents reading this - you truely are gents, cuties!)

Everywhere I turn now I'm hearing the phrase 'wanderlust'.
My manager is Australian and says that Australians are born with 'wanderlust'
I'm just sitting there like 'wander-whut?'

So it's the strong desire to wander/explore the world.
I get it!

This is something I'm definitely growing into.
For quite a long time I had serious issues with flying - panic attacks, projectile vomiting, hysteria. You know, casual symptoms of fear?!
But when I moved to Manchester I had to get over it, I had to fly alone.
And guess what? I'm okay with it now!

I have the biggest urge and desire to travel, and hopefully one day (when I win the lottery/find rich travelling partner/somehow manage to get my finances in check) will get the opportunity..
So I thought I'd do this tag and get thinking about where I want to go and explore...

LET'S GO.

Where was your first plane to?
The lovely isle of Jersey. I think I was three? I don't remember much from that holiday except that in the zoo in Jersey my pram was hi-jacked by monkeys. True story.

Where have you travelled to that you would love to visit again?
Easy - California/Nevada! I was ten when I journeyed across to the West Coast of America. Being ten in America in 2002ish doesn't get you much, yes you get to go to Disney and Seaworld and Legoland, and every souvenir you brought back was adorned with The Powerpuff Girls (I swear, I'm talking clothes, books, CD case, backpack). But now I'm 22, and obviously of the legal drinking age in America (WOOHOO, official sign you're an adult) I want to go back to Las Vegas and have a proper blow out. Also I want to go back to Los Angeles and stalk Kim Kardashian and her family. WHAT A GIRL GOTTA DO TO GET ACCEPTED INTO THAT FAMILY.

You're leaving tomorrow, money is no object, where are you going?
The Caribbean. All my friends, all my family, maybe invite Rihanna along. WE GON' HAVE A CARNIVAL. It's heaven on Earth, from the photos I've seen anyway!

Preferred method of travel; planes, trains or car?
Am I weird that I love trains? Like I mean decent trains. I'm talking first class from Manchester Piccadilly to Euston type situations here. And if they were faster. You get to see SO much more on a train. I was in Switzerland in October and the train we took to Vevey went the whole way around Lake Geneva. It was increds.

Favorite travel website?
I can't lie, it's not exciting. It's Easyjet. Can't get enough of those big sexy orange planes that fly me to the homeland and back. It's not my favourite out of choice, but it's definitely my most used.

Where would you travel to just to eat the food?
I am such a foodie - mentally. I LOVE cooking programmes and food. In reality I'm a chicken when it comes to trying things, but in my head I'd love it. I'd probably say Australia? Some of the dishes they create on Masterchef Australia BLOW ME AWAY. They have so many inspirations from across the globe in their cuisine, that I just want to try it.

Is there a place you would never go again?
I've never had a holiday that was so bad that I would never go again... Benidorm maybe if I had to choose? I think it's one of those places you need to go to once, experience it, come home, wash yourself clean and then never relive it again.

Can you recite your passport number from memory if asked?
I'm quite weird, and can remember numbers/postcodes/addresses/random shit quite easily. But I don't fly on my passport that regularly, as I live in Northern Ireland and usually fly domestically (i.e to England) I fly on my driving licence! So I can repeat that number, but not my passport number!

Do you prefer the window, aisle or middle seat?
Definitely the aisle, I love being able to stretch my legs out, even though I've got relatively short legs it's really satisfying! I hate the middle seat, I always get into elbow wars with the people on either side of me!

How do you pass the time on an airplane?
Always a magazine, buy it at the airport, read it on the plane, and give it to the air hostesses as I'm getting off. It's turned into a bit of a tradition! If I'm knackered though I will sleep and probably drool on someones shoulder (sexy); and then nearly have a heartattack when the plane touches down and we hit the runway. I've screamed before it scared me that much when I woke up. Awkward.

After doing that tag I'm now desperate for a holiday somewhere exciting...
If only I could win the lottery and be able to satisfy my travelling cravings!

Hope you all enjoyed this tag!
Is there anyone you've been that you would recommend?

Or anywhere you would love to go?!
Let me know in the comments! xx

11. Lindt chocolate, because Christmas.

12. Does anyone actually like Brussel sprouts?

13. EVERYWHERE IS SO FUCKING BUSY. JEEZ.

14. Wish I could actually park my car - it's so busy I've parked 10 miles away from the shopping centre so I don't risk crashing into anyone's car.

15. I hope my granny will do vodka shots with me on Christmas day.

16. Then I'll ask her is she a pheasant plucker. NEVER. GETS. OLD.

21. Christmas songs are only fun until Christmas Day. Not afterwards.

22. BOXING DAY SALES.

Recent Purchases!

Hello again lovelies!
I kept my promise, I'm back with a real blog post!
I've been treating myself to a few bits and pieces recently - naughty, and I thought I should show you what I've been buying!

Firstly, for my birthday my lovely mum got me a MAC quad palette - I didn't want the 15 palette because I have an OCD that I would need it to be finished, and I don't have the dolla to fill it! She bought me Twinx and Coppering to go in, I also had Brown Down which I depotted and popped into the palette.. So there was 1 space left and I chose All That Glitters! The palette is now complete and I'm so happy with it!! The colours are so autumnal and work perfectly together!

Top to Bottom: All That Glitters, Coppering, Twinx & Brown Down.
We'll stick with the MAC theme.. I seen my lovelyyy bestie Becca with the Objects of Affection Pigment and Glitters... So, obviously I went and bought them too. I did restrain though and only buy one set, even though I wanted them all.. I got the Rose set, and they are BEAUTIFUL. I've worn them loads all ready and I can't wait to break them out approx everyday over Christmas, tis the season for glittery eyelids afterall isn't it? Obsessed with them, and I love the packaging!

Bottom to Top: Whisper Pink, Tan, Rose, Reigning Riches & Heritage Rouge.

Next company I'm back to being in love with is Urban Decay - Urban Decay were my first foray into high end makeup and I still love their Palettes - I have quite a few, but I've not tended to buy from them for quite a while.. A few months ago on www.cohorted.co.uk I seen their Perversion and Subversion mascara and primer duo and I was in the market for a new mascara so I bought them.. and HOLY MOLY. This is my favourite duo ever, it actually GIVES ME EYELASHES THAT YOU CAN SEE. My eyelashes are quite long but their straight so they usually look pretty crap, but this duo changes things. So much that I actually went and bought a full size of Subversion (the cohorted deal gives you a mini one) and it's so worth it!

The duo is actually still available on cohorted until Sunday evening and it only costs £10.80.. The full size mascara is £17 alone so it's definitely worth a purchase! Plus it's free delivery.. GO GET IT ASAP https://cohorted.co.uk/cohort/perversion-mascara-deluxe-set-783

Finally, the last recent purchase was also from Urban Decay.. The brand is fully back on my radar! I was really intrigued to try out their lippies but none of them were screaming out to me as the ONE I really wanted.. So for Christmas, they happened to bring out 6 minis in a set called the Full Frontal Lipstick Stash.. So I bought them! You get 6 mini lipsticks and then a full size of their 247/ glide on lip pencil in Ozone (which is invisible, so kind of like a lip primer!). The colours are great and they have such good lasting power! I'm seriously impressed. Also they are adorable! Definitely worth checking Debenhams our for this little Christmas present because it would be a great stocking filler! It's £29 for it all!

Bottom to Top: Ladyflower, Crush, Illicit, F-Bomb, Gash & Liar

Hope you liked seeing what I've bought recently!
Have you bought any of these things?
Let me know what you think of them if you have!

Until next time.

Christmas Tag 2014!

Hello lovies - I am BACK.
It's been a while (like maybe 2 months or so? oops...) Me so sorry!
Life is manic and frankly when I'm not working I'm usually asleep so blogging time has been extremely limited! I will try and control my time better over the next few months and hopefully I'll be back on the radar a little bit more!

I thought a nice way back into things would be a tag - I love them! I am gonna write a proper post after this don't worry, my page won't turn into a specific tag blog!

Saying as it's now the 6th of December and Christmas is edging ever closer, I thought that this was the most appropriate time to do the Christmas tag!

Let's get goinggggg..

1. What is your favourite Christmas film?
I'm pretty crappy with films I can't deny that.. But Elf always makes me feel happy, and Will Ferrell is hilarious! I've not even seen all of the 'must have' Christmas films such as The Grinch, Love Actually etc... So hopefully if they're on this year I'll actually sit down and watch them!

2. Have you ever had a White Christmas?
I think when I was younger I remember it being a White Christmas, but I literally think I must have been about 5! I remember playing in the snow and my mum and dad asking me who's birthday it was, and being convinced it was one of my second cousins birthdays... They obviously meant Jesus, oops.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

3. Where do you usually spend the holidays?
I spend it at home with my family, first part of Christmas day is spent with Mum and her side of the fam, and the evening with Dad and his side!

4. What is your favourite Christmas song?
OH I DON'T KNOW. There's too many!! I literally will sing along to any of them! I know it's not particularly christmassy but I love Hallejuah by Jeff Buckley... We sang it at a Christmas Carol service when I was in Junior High School, and everytime I hear it I think back to then and I get really happy memories!

5. Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve?
I try not too from my 'Santa' presents, i.e. the presents that my family buy me for Christmas, but if it's gifts from friends I will open them early.. Usually even before Christmas Eve, I'm pretty impatient...

6. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer?
I've been mentally trying to do this for weeks since Coca-Cola have released the bottles of coke with their names on it.. Let's try, again.

Dancer, Prancer, Donner, Vixen, Cupid, Rudolph... Nope.

7. What holiday traditions are you looking forward to most this year?
All the random things my mum and I tend to do over Christmas, like going shopping at 10pm at night at our local shopping centre, going to Tesco in the middle of the night and stocking up on food, and going shopping on Christmas Eve to look at all the men who forgot to buy their wives/girlfriends presents earlier! Also, Christmas Eve drinks with my friends - but you have to be careful to make sure you don't end up hanging and can't eat your dinner! It's a risky one! It's my besties birthday on New Years Eve as well so there's always lots of celebrations then!

8. Is your Christmas tree real or fake?
It's fake - I think we had a real one a few years ago but the needles were horrible when they all fell off! I hate the feel of fake Christmas trees though, so I'll nag my mum to put it up but I can't even bare to touch it!!

9. What is your all-time favourite holiday food/sweet treat?
Well I love turkey all year round, it's my favourite meat. I wish it was acceptable to eat it all year round :( My favourite sweets, are the Lindt chocolate balls that my mum gives me and my brother a box without fail every Christmas morning that we then eat for breakfast. Healthy.

10. Be honest: do you like giving gifts or receiving gifts better?
Honestly, I love giving gifts! I love nothing more than putting thought into presents and actually buying people things that they want to get! It makes me so happy!! I'm the same with birthday presents!

11. What is the best Christmas gift you've ever received?
Well my car from my mum was a mix of birthday/christmas presents so it definitely has to be that! 4 years of Cleo and she's still going strong, impressive for a 2001 Clio with 105,500 miles on the clock!

12. What would be your dream place to visit for the holiday season?
It has to be New York doesn't it? I think every female would want their partner to take them to New York for Christmas! It's just so romantic and perfect!

13. Are you a pro-present wrapper, or do you fail miserably?
I'm okay - I like to think I am anyway! I've had a lot of experience, with divorced parents, my dad was pretty crap at wrapping gifts so I tended to just be handed a pile of presents for random family members and asked to do it! Pressure! You ask me to wrap a box of Quality Street and I'll nail it!

14. Most memorable holiday moment?
It definitely just has to remembering waking up when I was really really young and sneaking in to check that Santa had left presents before going to wake my family up to go and open them! I've got some not so nice christmas memories as well which I wish would disappear from my mind!

15. What made you realise the truth about Santa?
I knew for years that he wasn't real - it was always the talk in Primary school of whether he was real or not. My dad told me when I was 10 but I still cried when he did. I was always an emotional wreck obviously haha. But remember - if you don't believe, you don't receive.

16. Do you make New Years resolutions? Do you stick to them?
I always make them, and I always break them! I'm determined that this will be the year that I don't, let's see how that goes...

17. What makes the holidays special for you?
I think it's more special now because I've been away from home for so long so it's nice to go home and see everyone, catch up with friends and family I haven't seen in a while and generally just relax! I'm working from home over this Christmas but I don't mind, it'll be nice to sit in front of the fire doing emails and focusing on projects!

Hope you enjoyed this tag - if you do one in response leave me a link in the comments and I'll check it out!

And in case I forget to say it later in December..

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Birthday Clothes Choices!

Hiiii.
Do you remember who I am? I apologize for my absence!
I've been away a lot mostly because of work (being a grown up is HARD) but also.. It was my birthday last week so I was at home visiting family and friends..
I'm now 22..

I've been out galvanting around the country (both England and Northern Ireland) and I thought I would do a quick post to show what I've been wearing as I've been celebrating/drowning my sorrows.

My first night out was in Brighton with my besties from Uni.. It was messy!!
We (read I) took too long to get ready so outfit pictures weren't a priority as we jumped into the hotel lift and went downstairs to jump in the taxi but I did manage to grab a quick lift pic!

My playsuit was from Primark and was £13! Really comfortable and effective! I paired it with old nude Topshop heels and a nude studded clutch bag from Primark! Easy outfit but it worked really well! Alice's (in the middle) dress is from Miss Selfridge but from a while ago! And Lizzies playsuit is from Topshop but I don't know when!!

I went home a few days later and on the actual day of my birthday had a lovely pamper spa day and lunch with my mum! We kept it casual but I did use it as an excuse to stick on some false eyelashes!

Jumper is from Primark (£8) - I'm a little bit obsessed with these eyelash style jumpers, they're everywhere! I have this bright yellow one from Primark, and a fuschia one from Matalan! So comfortable and cosy! I layered the jumper over this dress from Monki (£25) and paired it with black tights, black Chelsea boots and this feather scarf from Accessorize that my landlady bought me for my birthday :) The eyelashes I'm wearing are Red Cherrys and it's MAC's 'Whirl' on my lips!

Next was a shopping trip to Belfast to basically splurge all of my birthday money.. Charcoal biker jeans from Next Outlet (£24), White wrapover blouse from Select (£11.99) and this aaaamaazing fur stole from Topshop (£28)! I would never justify that kinda money generally, but I had gift vouchers from Alice and frankly I'm 100% in love with the stole and it's worth it!!

This was from my main birthday night out in Belfast, where we stayed at the etap hotel which was super cheap and amazing! Such a good location as well! We were going for a 'grown-up' night, where we dressed responsibly and behaved ourselves.. We behaved but only because we couldn't get drunk! Top is £12 from Dorothy Perkins, trousers (I am obsessed with these) are from River Island and were £15 in the sale (not online - go have a ruffle around in the sale section in store)! Shoes are my new favourite things in da world from Dorothy Perkins (£29), mules!! Never thought I'd appreciate this style but I am in love with them! Be careful though, I did get the heel stuck in a drain!! Typical Rach night out dramaaaa haha.

Final selfie before I left to go back to London.. Kind of show casing my new amaaaazing coat that I literally spent most of my birthday cash on.. From Marks and Spencers, which is somewhere I never usually shop in, but I walked through the door, seen this and it was love at first sight!! It was £89 which was super steep compared to my usual Primarni special winter coats.. But it's absolutely worth the money, such good quality and it will last!!

Hope you enjoyed this quick post on what I wore over the last few weeks!

I hope to get a quick post done on what I got for my birthday beauty wise etc before I go away to Switzerland with work next week! Keep an eye out for a post soon!

Mucho loves!!

The Autumn Tag

Hello muffins!
So, it's here.. It's officially Autumn, literally in the past week it's got very cold and all the leaves have started falling off the trees, I swear it was warm and I was sunbathing in the garden like 3 weeks ago??

Anyway, to mark the start of the season I decided to do the Autumn Tag!
As you can probably guess I've got really into Tags but I find them really interesting to read and you always find out something new about someone and I really like that!!

So, let's go!

Ok we're talking coffees - what is your favourite seasonal drink from Starbucks, Costa or Cafe Nero etc?
Not necessarily a seasonal drink, but it's something I started drinking about this time last year and it's quite a heavy one so I don't like it during the Spring/Summer but it's a White Chocolate Mocha.. I've had these from Starbucks and they're delish! I'm not the biggest white chocolate fan but these are just so good. I can't wait to have one now I've started thinking about it!

Next up is accessories - what do you opt for, scarfs, boots or gloves?
I'm a scarf and boots girl, I love a good boot all year round but it's hard to escape the sweaty feet situation in the warm weather - yes I went there sorry! I've already bought these Suede Knee high boots from New Look and I can't wait to wear them! And pretty much the same to scarves, I'll just alternate between heavy scarves in the winter - i.e. my Forever 21 men's tartan scarf from last year to light scarves like the little cotton ones that Primark sell! Scarves really make an outfit, and sometimes when you can't find a nice top to match something, I'll go for a plain top and stick on a scarf. Easy peasy.

Then onto music - what is your favourite songs to listen to during autumn?
I don't have favourite songs to listen to during different seasons, to be fair I'm still listening to the same music from approx 5 years ago since I resurrected my old iPod, and whatevers currently in the Topsify Top 40 list on Spotify.. I used to be really good with new music but I just don't have time now, I stick to the classics/mainstream!

What is your favourite perfume during this time of the year?
Oh in my opinion you just can't beat Thierry Mugler's Alien at this time of year.. That really musky scent just sums it up perfectly, it's nice and strong and distinctive, so even if you're wrapped up in approx 10 layers you can still smell it and recognise it instantly!

Which candles will you be burning this season?
I'll be pulling out my Yankee Candle giftset that I got last year and burning the ones I haven't got through yet and going out to repurchase the Salted Caramel one, it's just so good, you can't beat that filling up a room!

What do you love most about autumn?
I love the anticipation that it's almost winter? I feel like Autumn is just the prequel to winter, and it generally goes by in a flash! I also love it because it's my birthday during Autumn (October 15th - a week to go!) so I'm always usually quite excited! I'm not looking forward to turning 22 this year so it's my 21+1 birthday and I'm having lots of different celebrations! I'm sure there'll be pics popping up soon after all the festivities have ended!

Favourite make-up look?
Favourite make-up look of winter has got to be a strong dark lip, particularly a berry but this year I think I'm going to be leaning more towards a dark brown! I've been loving that browny pink lip all summer so this seems like the perfect step forward! The lipstick I'm currently most looking forward to wearing is Illamasqua's Growl which I picked up over the summer and haven't really had the chance to wear yet! I'm also looking forward to getting back into my blushes, I've been rolling with bronzer a lot this summer so I'm gonna step away from the bronzer, embrace the paleness and pick up my blushes again :)

What are you looking forward to most this year?
Well I'm looking forward to heading off to Switzerland with work at the end of October for training (exciting!!) and just continuing to work hard at my job! This year is really important to me and I really want to get as much out of it as possible so I really am busting a gut to work hard! Also, I've got 3 and a half weeks at home for Christmas as I'm working from home so it'll be really good to work but get to see my family too! All very exciting but I'm just looking forward to taking each day as it comes and seeing what life throws at me next!

Hope you enjoyed reading this!
I tag everyone to take part if you read this!
Leave me the link to your response when you've finished!

Sunday 5 October 2014

I am not a blogger.

Hello beauties!
It's been a while and I apologise.
I'm a busy busy working bee, I respect anyone that keeps up a full time blog and works full time.. I don't know how anyone does it!

Anyway, this is a quick outfit of the day/face of the day post as I was appreciating my outfit today and I was described as looking 'glam' and that doesn't happen that regularly!

It was a simple outfit but pretty effective, this top was £15.99 (I think) from Stradivarius! Stradivarius isn't a brand that's particularly well known in the UK but I discovered it a few years ago in Barcelona and now when I have the chance to visit I get rather excited! The Westfield in Stratford (one word for that place - WOW) has one and if you ever go there I highly recommend you check out the store!!

This top had half length arms that were quite baggy, so I cut them off because it made me look a bit butch! I really like it now, the inside stitching has kind of exposed itself and its just a bit more flattering now! It's made of the softest cotton and it really is a good quality top, definitely worth the money!

Excuse my stink eye in this pic, I blinked and couldn't get another decent one!

I finished the outfit with my black Next jeggings which are amazinggg! They're £20 but so worth it, the quality is so much better than cheap jeggings and there's no sagging at my knees and falling down at awkward times! I wore my 3 year old Oasis denim jacket, still going strong and my grey handbag is from Primark and it was £10! On my tootsies were my very old and very battered Dorothy Perkins black wedged trainers.. Such an easy/effective outfit :) (sorry most of these bits are old so no links!)

Face was pretty simple:
Urban Decay Subversion and Perversion mascara duo (This duo is WOW, so glad I bought them!!),
Simple face but together it looks pretty good and doesn't take long to do!

What do you think of this outfit?
Have you shopped at Stradivarius before?
Have you used any of those makeup items before?
Let me know!

Barbie Eyes.

Hey everyone!

So this is just a little quick post to show you the makeup look I went for yesterday, considering I sat in the house all day my landlord was raaaather confused by the full face of makeup!

As you can see the eyes are pretty pink! I'm a bit obsessed with everything raspberry at the minute, the fruit, the flavour and the colour.. I'm currently wearing a raspberry coloured jumper and socks, it's taking over my life!

So onto the main products I used for this look! I'm not going to go through everything but just a few that I'm really rating at the minute!

The Maybelline Super Stay Better Skin foundation in shade 'Cameo'! I am loving this foundation, I love the consistency and coverage! It's kind of a mix between MAC's Studio Fix Fluid Foundation and Studio Finish Foundation! This is £7.99 so a loooot cheaper and I think I actually preferred it to MAC on my face! 😱 it's SPF20 as well which is good because I'm always too lazy to add SPF into my routine *slaps wrist*.

17 eyeshadow in 'Shocking Pink' and MAC eyeshadow in 'Cranberry'.. The holy grail of raspberry eyes! They look perfect together. I love Cranberry but I'm really impressed with the pigmentation of the 17 eyeshadows! I think they're £3.79 each or something close so brilliant if you want to experiment with colour and don't want to shell out £13.50 on a MAC eyeshadow!

Urban Decay eyeshadow in 'Shellshock' from the Vice 2 palette. This is my favourite inner eye highlight ever, it's so shiny and it looks good with every other eyeshadow combo I've tried it with so far!  Urban Decay eyeshadows are so pigmented, they really are one of my favourites!!

MAC 'Whirl' lipliner and 'Faux' lipstick.. The perfect nude combo. The holy grail. Unbelievable. Can't be beaten. End game here. That is all.

Collection 'Lasting Perfection' Concealer, I've loved it for a long time, I left it for MAC, I came back! It's far easier to get your hands on, it's far cheaper and I enjoy a good doe foot applicator! Definitely worth a purchase, anyone who asks about what concealer to buy, I always direct them to this! Beaaaaut.

What do you think of this makeup look?I'm thinking I'll be rocking this for my birthday look in Brighton with black eyeliner and HUGE eyelashes!
Have you tried any of these products? What do you think of them? Let me know!
