The man who stole a leopard.

Happy New Year!
It's officially 2015!
Hope you all had an amazing Christmas and a lovely New Year, and that there weren't too many sore heads on the first of January!

I was spoilt by everyone I know for Christmas, as per usual!
I might do a quick post on what I got, but then again it's not really what I want to do!
I'm 22 now, and Christmas really isn't about what I got anymore, it's about spending time with your family, eating so much that you resemble a potato and basically getting drunk as much as possible during the day!
So we'll see how inspired I feel for a post like that over the next few weeks!

I haven't done any New Years Resolutions, because basically they don't last!
But one thing I have thought about is that I'd like to do a few more outfit based posts on here!
I love shopping/clothes/fashion and I think I have good style and know how to dress myself relatively well, so I'd like to document it a bit more!

It will be difficult to get regular 'outfit' shots when it's not a mirror reflection because I basically live alone and I don't have a proper camera! But when I do, I'll try and bully friends and family into taking a few pictures for me!

So here we go, first outfit of the day post of 2015!

My brother wasn't the happiest about taking these pictures so excuse the potential poor quality!

This was an easy look for running my brother around town and doing errands and doing family visits! It's an mix of Christmas presents, Christmas sale shopping and things that have been in my wardrobe for a long time!

Leather jacket - Dorothy Perkins - £49.00 - £39.20
Leopard Print Top - Zara - £29.99 - £19.99
Skirt - River Island - Old stock (not online anymore! sob - I want a new one)
Tights - Primark - (probably about 3 years old lets be honest who buys new tights)
Ankle boots - Dorothy Perkins - £35.00 - £25.00
Handbag - Jaeger - £59.00 (mine is last year's version of the one in the link, hence why it's a different price than what's online! I got mine at a Jaeger Outlet!)
Rings - August Woods at Argento - £15.00

Do you like outfit posts?
What would you like to see more/less of?

Let me know and I can try my best to satisfy your needs!

Until next time!

Birthday Clothes Choices!

Hiiii.
Do you remember who I am? I apologize for my absence!
I've been away a lot mostly because of work (being a grown up is HARD) but also.. It was my birthday last week so I was at home visiting family and friends..
I'm now 22..

I've been out galvanting around the country (both England and Northern Ireland) and I thought I would do a quick post to show what I've been wearing as I've been celebrating/drowning my sorrows.

My first night out was in Brighton with my besties from Uni.. It was messy!!
We (read I) took too long to get ready so outfit pictures weren't a priority as we jumped into the hotel lift and went downstairs to jump in the taxi but I did manage to grab a quick lift pic!

My playsuit was from Primark and was £13! Really comfortable and effective! I paired it with old nude Topshop heels and a nude studded clutch bag from Primark! Easy outfit but it worked really well! Alice's (in the middle) dress is from Miss Selfridge but from a while ago! And Lizzies playsuit is from Topshop but I don't know when!!

I went home a few days later and on the actual day of my birthday had a lovely pamper spa day and lunch with my mum! We kept it casual but I did use it as an excuse to stick on some false eyelashes!

Jumper is from Primark (£8) - I'm a little bit obsessed with these eyelash style jumpers, they're everywhere! I have this bright yellow one from Primark, and a fuschia one from Matalan! So comfortable and cosy! I layered the jumper over this dress from Monki (£25) and paired it with black tights, black Chelsea boots and this feather scarf from Accessorize that my landlady bought me for my birthday :) The eyelashes I'm wearing are Red Cherrys and it's MAC's 'Whirl' on my lips!

Next was a shopping trip to Belfast to basically splurge all of my birthday money.. Charcoal biker jeans from Next Outlet (£24), White wrapover blouse from Select (£11.99) and this aaaamaazing fur stole from Topshop (£28)! I would never justify that kinda money generally, but I had gift vouchers from Alice and frankly I'm 100% in love with the stole and it's worth it!!

This was from my main birthday night out in Belfast, where we stayed at the etap hotel which was super cheap and amazing! Such a good location as well! We were going for a 'grown-up' night, where we dressed responsibly and behaved ourselves.. We behaved but only because we couldn't get drunk! Top is £12 from Dorothy Perkins, trousers (I am obsessed with these) are from River Island and were £15 in the sale (not online - go have a ruffle around in the sale section in store)! Shoes are my new favourite things in da world from Dorothy Perkins (£29), mules!! Never thought I'd appreciate this style but I am in love with them! Be careful though, I did get the heel stuck in a drain!! Typical Rach night out dramaaaa haha.

Final selfie before I left to go back to London.. Kind of show casing my new amaaaazing coat that I literally spent most of my birthday cash on.. From Marks and Spencers, which is somewhere I never usually shop in, but I walked through the door, seen this and it was love at first sight!! It was £89 which was super steep compared to my usual Primarni special winter coats.. But it's absolutely worth the money, such good quality and it will last!!

Hope you enjoyed this quick post on what I wore over the last few weeks!

I hope to get a quick post done on what I got for my birthday beauty wise etc before I go away to Switzerland with work next week! Keep an eye out for a post soon!

Mucho loves!!

Eminem at Wembley 12th July 2014

Oh hi again, yes I'm back again, 3 times in a week - it's a blue moon obviously!

I was a verrrrry lucky girl this weekend, I managed to get tickets to see Eminem at Wembley on Saturday just gone, and at a brilliant price (hint: always try to stay friends with your old exes, sometimes it gets you a hefty discount on concert tickets!) so Alice (my housemate from last year, who's also just started a placement) went along to relax and let our hair down!

I've seen Eminem before at Tennants Vital in 2011 (holy moly, that's 3 years ago!!) and he was amazing! It pissed down (to clarify, with rain), so me and Jill got very drunk and hid in a portaloo! It was amazing, and so was Eminem, he's so good live, and plays such a good mix of his old stuff and his newer albums!

So when the opportunity came up we had to! I'm quite short at 5"6 but I have really short arms (think slightly like a T-Rex) so I couldn't take many pics of videos but I did wanna put up my video of 'Stan', it's my favourite Eminem song of ALL time and it was amazing, the atmosphere was unbelievable when it came on, everyone was so in the zone! Check it out below!

The pics below are the best ones I could get! The pic on the left was whenever we arrived at Wembley about 7pm, look how busy it was then! And it only got busier when Eminem came on!!

Now on to what I wore, unfortunately due to a mistimed afternoon nap I overslept and didn't leave myself enough time to get ready, hence no face pictures because I felt very awkward taking selfies on the train when I was alone! My outfit was cheap and cheerful, and a re-wear from Parklife! Cheeky! It was so warm, it was actually like summer time! (Also check out the girl gawking at me taking pictures in public bathrooms haha)

Outfit deets:
Dress - £7.99 from H&M (which I still can't find online - check in store!)
Boots - £10.00 (reduced from £18) from Primark! Currently in store in black & beige
Denim Shirt - £20.00 but it's old New Look
Handbag - £5 Urban Outfitters old sale stock

So ultimately it was a super cheap outfit that suited the occasion as good old Marshall Mathers himself said at the gig "Lets do some shit from when I used to get fucked up!" so a weed leaf style dress seemed perfect!

The gig was amazing, and the fact that Eminem brought Dr Dre out as a special guest made the night 100x better! In just over the past month, Alice and I have seen: Snoop Dogg, Eminem & Dr Dre.. If anyone needs any help on becoming a Wigga.. Please come this way 'coz we're definitely experts at being straight up gangstas now!

I would fully recommend you go and see Eminem if you have the opportunity, he's 100% worth the money!! The concert is amazing, and his gigs always have such a good demographic, it's not all screaming girls! There was a 70year old man infront of us down to some 12 year old boys that were with their dads! There's hardcore fans, medium fans, and then people that just appreciate the music so it's always a really good fun gig to be at!

Have you ever seen Eminem live? Were you at Wembley last weekend?
Let me know if you were! What do you think of him live?

Parklife 2014!

Hello lovies!

Parklife was over a week ago, and I'm majorly depressed - I have a severe case of festival blues!
It was amazing, so many people and the atmosphere was unbelievable! The weather wasn't as good as it could have been, but everyone stuck on their wellies and plowed on regardless of the weather!

I didn't risk bringing my iPhone with me to the gig, just knowing my luck it definitely would have ended up face down in a puddle and I had a little cheap Nokia instead.. It had a camera, but unfortunately I don't have any Bluetooth devices that will actually connect to it! So I have no pics of being inside the gig except my friends which I've nicked!

The highlights of the weekend for me were: Snoop Dogg ('mazing!), Sam Smith (wowzaaaaa), Cyril Hahn, Bastille (I seen them at Big Weekend last year and preferred them there but they were still good), and Disclosure, who were definitely my overall winners! I seen them last year at Warehouse Project, but being in a field of approx 60,000 people in the sunshine listening to them was amazing and completely trumphed being inside a sweaty, drug filled warehouse!!

Just wanted to do a post to show my makeup off and what I wore and do a little round-up to confirm to myself it's all over!

Saturday

Just a quick summary of what's on my face:

- Estee Lauder Double Wear in 'Pure Beige'

- Topshop Lip Varnish in 'High Times'
- Bindi and Facial Gems from eBay
- My sunglasses (you can see them later on) are also from eBay :)

- My dress was from H&M, kind of similar to the *cough* marijuana *cough* dress that is basically errywhere at the minute, but obviously if it has banana leaves *wink wink, nudge nudge* on the store is legally allowed to sell it! It was £7.99! It's not on H&M's website but I've seen it in lots of stores, I purchased from the Manchester Market Street store :)
- My necklace is a super old gold chain from ASOS!
- The wellies were kindly lent to me by my lovely housemate Hayley to protect my tootsies!
- My handbag (not seen) was from ASOS and you can see it here!
L-R - Lizzie, myself and Becca!
Me and Becca getting a few selfies in ;-)

Anyway, that's enough pictures, I'm depressed now!
It was an amazing weekend with amazing friends and I'm so glad I got to experience it before I start my placement!

And just on a final note about Parklife, RIP to Robert Hart, the festival goer that was attacked unprovoked and as a result of the attack died. All my thoughts to his friends and family, no-one deserves to die at a festival, everyone should be there to have fun and relax.. No-one should have to die for being a fan of music!

Mac Miller FOTD!

Holaaaa.
Just a quick little post to show what I wore to the Mac Miller gig at HMV Ritz in Manchester on Sunday 06/10/2013! The tickets were £17.50 and he was brilliant! Such a good crowd and the atmosphere was buzzing! Everyone was so pumped to see him! He had 2 support acts - one didn't really fit in with Mac's music style but he was still a beautiful singer and his name was Dylan Reynold and you can check him out here! His second support act suited the bill a little better and he was Rockie Fresh! He got the crowd going and everyone was fully ready for Mac! Mac Miller came out and was even watching his support act which I think is great because it showed how much he actually SUPPORTED that new, up and coming artist.. We caught a sneak peek of him checking out Rockie Fresh!

I kept my face pretty simple, foundation, bronzer, blush, lashings of mascara and small eyeliner flicks on the eyes.. The reason it was so plain was because I was wearing GREEN on my lips! Becca had told me she'd seen a make-up counter sales girl wearing Navy eyeliner on her lips with gloss so I decided to try this outttt!
I used MUA's Intense Colour Eyeliner Pencil in the shade 'Forest Green'! I wore a MAC Dazzleglass over the top of the liner, but it actually made the liner come off faster so I scrapped that and left it as a matte look!

I liked this look, I do admit I got a few strange looks but sureeee I don't care! It's all about experimenting so I was happy with how the look turned out! Good for a gig when no-one is taking themselves to seriously!

I wore a cheap tartan smock style dress from a shop in Manchester's Arndale Shopping Centre called 'Shout'! It was £7 so I couldn't say no to that! I tied a denim shirt around my waist and also had suspender tights on, but they were toooo much - it was SO WARM!! I had my faithful vans on and they were super comfyyyy! Sorry I couldn't get a photo of my outfit, we were running out of time!!
If you wanna check out Mac Miller then have a little clicksy HERE
Talk soon!
Let me know about what you think of colourful lips, too much or okay?

Outfit of the night!

Hiiiiii! Once again sorry for the hiatus! I'm working flat out and everytime I get a day off I end up sleeping half the day away and being fit for nothing!! This is just a quick post to show what I wore out for dinner with my family on Saturday evening! The pictures were just quick snapshots I took before running out the door.. As I was late as per usual!! We went to Ed's Diner in Lisburn which is unbelievable!

I wore Topshop's velvety leggings that I got in the sale last season.. But I seen they're in stock again for this autumn/winter so it means I can continue to wear them and not feel like I'm a season late!

My baseball top is from h&m! It was £14.99 and I love it! Similar in style to the siksilk pieces, just without the hefty pricetag!! The vest top underneath is primark by the way!

My boots.. I think I'm in love with them! I've been wanting cut out boots for a while, seen these and fell head over heels in love! The best thing is they're from Primark and only cost £20! Bargain!!

My denim jacket is from Oasis last year! The great thing about denim jackets is they can be brought out year after year.. This one was £48 so I intend to get a few more summers wear out of it!!

My necklace is last season from Primark, and my earrings are from the discount jewellery store Muse in Belfast! Ring is from Topman! And I got my lovely new bright pink Casio in Argos, were it was on sale for £9.99.. BARGAIN. I'm quickly becoming a Casio collector! My lipstick is 22 by Kate Moss for Rimmel!

One last full body snap! Taken by my very uncooperative little brother who refused to retake even when my bra was out! So I apologise for that!!

I'll be back soon I promise! I'm back to Manchester in 8 days so hopefully once I finish work on Thursday and get packed up for going back I'll have time to get a few more posts done!

Thanks for reading! Xxxx

Outfit Of The Night! Summer drinks :)

Helllooooooooo!

Last Friday, we were actually blessed with some summer type weather! It was warm, well above 10 degrees so I decided to break out a few summer pieces! I was going round to my friends for some pizza and drinks, so wanted to make a bit of an effort! :)

My outfit was basically all from Primark! I know people can feel that Primark is cheap and badly made.. But for items I'm gonna wear a few times during the season I don't mind not having the best quality! Cheap and cheerful is the way forward for any fashion addicted student, there's no way you can afford to rock Topshop or Zara every day!

  • My trousers were £9! Absolute bargain and I'm in love with the pattern on them!
  • The crop top was £3, you can't say no to that! I bought it in a fluorescent pink as well but it was just a little early to break out that colour haha. I'm no skinny minny and I know crop tops can look a little dodgy on those on the bigger side of the clothing scale but the trousers were pretty high waisted so I felt I could get away with flashing just a hint of skin!
  • The necklace is ancientttttt and has been floating around in my wardrobe for at least 3 years! It was a bargain, £1 from Dorothy Perkins! I never buy full price jewellery, it doesn't stay in style long enough to spend loads of money on it, I'm a sale junkie!!
  • I teamed this outfit with my favourite Dorothy Perkins wedged trainers! Another sale bargain at £15, and I've worn them to death! So comfy but yet give a nice bit of height :)
  • I also stuck on my sleeveless denim jacket just for a slight bit of extra protection against the evening chill! This is a Topshop bargain and I think it was £15, such a steal :)

It was the first time seeing my friends since I got my hair done so I was looking forward to showing off a bit ;-)
My makeup was my basic look, strong eyebrows, nude eyes, lots of mascara and my new favourite lipstick! It's MUA's Shade 3, and in my opinion it's a complete dupe for Topshop's Brighton Rock that I posted about last week.. And the best thing is, it's £1!! A gorgeous bright pink, that unfortunately this pic doesn't do justice to! I'll have a blog post coming up on my recent MUA purchases that I'll share soon!

Hope you enjoyed this little outfit post, hopefully I'll be able to do a few more soon :)
Happy Sunday guys :)
Rachel. x
